On the occasion of World
Environment Day i. e. 5th June, 2012 a Beach Cleanup is organized at
Dadar Beach, Mumbai. The activity if joint venture of the World Wide Fund for
Nature – India, Maharashtra State Office (WWF-India, MSO) and The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI). This activity is basically to sensitize the common
man to the importance of cleanliness and healthy surroundings; moreover our aim
from this activity is to highlight the importance of the coastal ecosystems.
