WWF-India, MSO organized a nature camp to Sinhgad, Morachi Chincholi and Nighij in the month of June, 2012. The camp was attended by 15 participants including WWF-India members, staff, volunteers and other nature lovers.

A Nature camp is organized to the Trisha, Gumati and Sephahijala WLS in the state of Tripura for subscribers and other Nature lovers.

Option A :

The camp cost is Rs. 13,500/- for WWF-India subscribers/donors and Rs 15,500/- for others. The camp cost includes food, travel and accommodation from Agartala to Agartala.  Registration –21st September, 2012. Meeting point will be outside Agartala Airport at 4.00p.m. on 23rd December,2012. The camp cost is Rs.27,000/- for WWF-India subscribers/donors and Rs 28,500/- for others.

The camp cost is Rs. 10,500/- for WWF-India subscribers/donors and Rs 11,500/- for others. The camp cost includes food, travel and accommodation. Stay type: 2/3 sharing basis. BEACH CLEANUP AT DADAR CHOWPATI, MUMBAI

WWF-India, MSO and The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) organized a beach cleanup activity at Dadar Chowpati, Mumbai to observe World Environment Day, 2012.
Please note that every day the BMC do clear the waste that is piled on the beaches. This activity is basically to sensitise the common man to the importance of cleanliness and healthy surroundings, moreover our aim from this activity is to highlight the importance of the coastal ecosystems.
 Total 35 people of varied age group participated in the cleanup drive. The cleanup was conducted on 5th June, 2012 from 7.30 am to 8.30 am. The waste that was collected during the drive includes ‘N’ number of plastic bags, broken idols, nirmalya, kitchen waste, old clothes, glass pieces even a medical waste.

PARTICIPATION IN GREEN IDEA EXHIBITION, THANE

WWF-India, MSO participated in Green Idea Exhibition at Thane. The exhibition was organized by Samarth Bharat Vyaspith and Apan Sare to observe World Environment Day, 2012 from 3rd June to 5th June 2012. The exhibition entry was free for everyone. Different stalls from Government Departments, NGO’s, commercial shops, Community Groups working in the field of environment were placed. WWF-India, MSO placed a stall giving information on biodiversity, our activities and projects done by MSO unit.

Paper Bag Making Workshop, vikhroli
A paper bag making workshop was conducted by WWF-India, MSO volunteers for the women of Godrej employee at Godrej Mangrove Centre. This year’s theme for WED was ‘Green Economy’. Participants were made aware about the importance of World environment Day and how Green Economy will work to save nature and to reduce the climate change. Then different types of paper bags were prepared by participants under the guidance of resource person.
