WWF-India, Teachers' Training Program, 2013

WWF-India Maharashtra State Office conducted a Teachers’ Training Workshop on 12th July, 2013 at Maharashtra Nature Park Society (MNPS), Dharavi. 27 teachers from 16 different Educational Institutes participated in this workshop. The theme was based on this year’s World Environment Day Theme – “Think. Eat. Save.” The focus of the workshop was to sensitize teachers and ultimately students about the food that we eat today, agricultural practices that we have in our country. The sessions taken include – sharing information on WWF-India’s program for schools & colleges, introduction to native vegetables, the food that we eat today -Think eat and save, kitchen garden, nature games, film screenings etc.We are thankful to MNPS for providing us the venue and other necessary support.

Teachers' Training Workshop in collaboration with Department of Environmental Science D. E. S. Fergusson College, Pune

WWF-India Maharashtra State Office conducted a Teachers’ Training Workshop on 7th Aug, 2013. It was conducted in-collaboration with Department of Environmental Science D. E. S. Fergusson College, Pune. 22 teachers & professors from 10 different Educational Institutes participated in this workshop. The theme was based on this year’s World Environment Day Theme – “Think. Eat. Save.” The focus of the workshop was to sensitize teachers and ultimately students about the food that we eat today, agricultural practices that we have in our country. Andaman Nicobar Nature Camp

Very soon you will get our report on Ransai camp. It was really a wonderful experience.
Update on Malshej : Camp Full
As informed to you earlier we are planning a nature camp in Andaman and Nicobar. We are pleased to give you the details of the same.
Please note: Earlier this camp was announced for the month of January, 2014. Now however, it will be conducted in the month of April, 2014.
You can select the best suitable plan for you. The details are:
                                                         Plan A
Andaman
Camp dates: 20th to 25th April, 2014
Places to visit – Mt Harriet, Long Island, Bartang Island (subject to permissions) or Jolly Buoy Island, Chidiya tapu, Cellular Jail, Light & Sound show and other local sightseeing at Port Blair
Charges: Rs. 22,000/- for WWF-India donors and Rs. 24,000/- for other nature enthusiasts.
The cost includes food, stay , travel and entry fee from Port Blair to Port Blair.
Mumbai-Port blair-Mumbai flight tickets can be arranged at an extra cost of Rs. 20,000/- (please note participants have to pay extra if the flight fare increases).
This does not include any scuba diving, snorkeling or any type of sport/ amusement activity offered in Anadaman.

Plan B
Nicobar (Great Nicobar)
Camp Dates: 13th – 19th April
Places to visit: Campbell bay, Turtle nesting site at Galathia bay and Shompen settlement.
Camp Charges: Rs. 33,000/- for WWF-India donors and Rs. 35,000/- for other nature enthusiasts
The cost includes food, stay, travel from Port Blair to Car Nicobar and back by Pawan Hans helicopters and local travel.
This does not include any scuba diving, snorkeling or any type of sport/ amusement activity offered in Nicobar.
Mumbai-Port blair-Mumbai flight tickets can be arranged at an extra cost of Rs. 20,000/- (please note participants have to pay extra if the flight fare increases).

Andaman and Nicobar
Dates: 13th to 25th April
Camp Charges : Rs. 55,000/- for WWF-India Donors and Rs. 57,000/- for other nature enthusiasts
The cost includes - The cost includes food, stay, travel and entry fee from Port Blair to Port Blair.
Place to visit: Mt Harriet, Long Island, either Bartang Island or Jolly BuoyIsland, Chidiya tapu, Cellular Jail, Light & Sound show and other local sightseeing at Port Blair, Campbell bay, Turtle nesting site at Galathia bay and Shompen settlement.
The cost does not include any scuba diving, snorkeling or any type of sport/ amusement activity offered in Nicobar.
