Nature Walks
Participants are should carry water, brunch and cap. Binoculars and field guides are optional. Participants have to purchase their own entry tickets and bear transport expense unless specified. Contact 22078105 / 22071970 for registration.
March 4, Sunday – Horniman circle
Charges: Free for subscribers and Rs. 50/- for guests.
Meeting point: main entrance of the park
Time: 8.00 am sharp.
Carry water, packed brunch. Those who are interested should register their names with WWF-India Maharashtra State Office, Mumbai, on or before 1st March, 2012.
April 15, Sunday – Hanging Garden
Charges: Free for subscriber and Rs. 50/- for non subscriber.
Meeting point: Main Gate of hanging Garden. Registration: 12th April, 2012
Time: 07.30am sharp
May 27, Sunday – Veer Mata Jijabai Bhosale Udyan (Zoo)
Charges: Free for subscriber and Rs. 50/- for non subscriber. However all participants have to buy their own tickets. Charges would be approximately Rs. 5/- per person
Meeting point: Zoo Ticket counter
Last Date to register: 24th May, 2012
Time: 09.00 am sharp
June 24, Sunday – Karnala
Charges: Rs. 750/- for a subscriber and Rs. 1000/- for a non-subscriber. This includes travel from Dadar station. to Dadar station.; Breakfast, Lunch (All veg.); Forest entry ticket and resource person charges. Last date to register: 8th June, 2012. Bus will leave at 06.30am from Dadar T.T.
March 9 - 11 Nature Camp to Silvassa
A Nature camp is organised to the Silvassa, for subscribers and other nature lovers.
Camp charges – Rs.3750.00 for subscriber, Rs.4250.00 for non-subscriber.
The charges include food, travel (Private vehicle) and accommodation from Mumbai to Mumbai.
Meeting Point - Bus will leave from Dadar station at 06.30am
Registration is on first come first serve basis before February 17, 2012.
March 24-25 Nature Camp to Phansad Wildlife Sanctuary
A Nature camp is organised to the Phansad Wildlife Sanctuary, for subscribers/donors/members and other nature lovers.
Camp charges – Rs.2500.00 for subscribers/donors/members, Rs.3500.00 for non-subscriber.
The charges include food, travel (Private vehicle) and accommodation from Mumbai to Mumbai.
Meeting Point - Bus will leave from Dadar station at 06.30am
Registration is on first come first serve basis before February 17, 2012.
April 28- 29, Nature Camp to Matheran
A Nature camp is organised to Matheran for subscribers and other nature lovers.
The camp cost is Rs. 1500/- for WWF-India subscribers/donors and Rs 2250/- for others. The camp cost includes food, travel and accommodation. Registration – 11th April, 2012. For details please contact the WWF-India Maharashtra State Office, Mumbai.
May 13 –19, Nature Camp to the Great Himalayan National Park (GHNP)
A Nature camp is organised to the Great Himalayan national Park for subscribers and other nature lovers.
GHNP is the most significant and biggest conservation unit in the Western Himalayas. The camp cost is Rs. 9500/- for WWF-India subscribers and Rs. 10,500/- for others. The camp cost includes food, travel and accommodation from Delhi to Delhi. Registration is on first come first serve basis. Confirm your participation before 2nd April, 2012. For details please contact the WWF-India Maharashtra State Office, Mumbai.
Train tickets from Mumbai to Delhi and Back can be arranged by WWF-India at extra cost of Rs.1000/- can be provided (this cost includes tickets of Paschim Express Sleeper class). In this case – confirm your registration on or before 13th February, 2012
June 2 - 6 Nature Camp to Ranthambore National Park
A Nature camp is organised to the Ranthambore National park for subscribers and other nature lovers.
Camp charges – Rs.8000/- for subscriber, Rs.9000/- for non-subscriber.
The charges include food, accommodation and travel from Mumbai to Mumbai.
Registration is on first come first serve basis before March 01, 2012.
Journey Details:
2nd June: 12925 Paschim EXP from Bandra Terminus at 11.35am and reach Sawai Madhopur on 3rd June at 03.48 am
5th June: 12956 JP BCT Sup Fast from Sawai Madhopur at 04.00pm and reach Mumbai central (BCT) on 6th June at 07.50am
