World Environment Day - 5th June, 2012 - Beach Cleanup


Dear Friends,

On the occasion of World Environment Day i. e. 5th June, 2012 a Beach Cleanup is organized at Dadar Beach, Mumbai. The activity if joint venture of the World Wide Fund for Nature – India, Maharashtra State Office (WWF-India, MSO) and The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI). This activity is basically to sensitize the common man to the importance of cleanliness and healthy surroundings; moreover our aim from this activity is to highlight the importance of the coastal ecosystems.
Details of the activity are as follows:

Venue: Dadar Chowpatty, Mumbai. Meeting Point – Ashoka Pillar, Dadar Chaityabhoomi
 Time: 07.30am to 09.00am

22nd May, 2012 Photographic Exhibition at WWF-India, MSO

Greetings from World Wide fund for Nature – India, Maharashtra state Office (WWF-India, MSO)
It gives us a great pleasure to invite you all for the Poster and Photographic Exhibition at WWF-India, MSO on the occasion of International Day for Biological Diversity i.e. 22nd May, 2012. 
Theme – Marine Biodiversity is the theme for this year's International Day for Biological Diversity (IDB). Our Exhibition is based on the same theme.
The International Day for Biological Diversity, on 22 May, is a special occasion to reflect on the role of biodiversity for our lives, and for all things on our planet. In 2012, the theme for the day is Marine and Coastal Biodiversity.
48 Photographs of 15 photographers are displayed along with some poster.

Days – The exhibition will be open for all from 22nd to 29th May, 2012 (except Saturday and Sunday) and there are no entry charges.
Timings – 10.00am to 6.30pm

June 16-17,  Nature Camp to Sinhagad,Morachi Chincholi and Nighoj.
A Nature camp is organised to Sinhagad, Morachi Chincholi and Nighoj for subscribers and other nature lovers.The camp cost is Rs. 2500/- for WWF-India subscribers/donors and Rs 2750/- for others. A Nature camp is organised to the Sangameshwar for subscribers and other nature lovers. The camp cost is Rs. 3000/- for WWF-India subscribers and Rs.3,500/- for others.
